HISTORY 

Our customs brokering activities that have been going on for almost 7 decades, were inaugurated in 1939 with the support of Sait OBDAN and Haci Nazif CELEBI. 10 years later, in 1949 Ihsan OBDAN had joined his older brother as a business partner. In 1977, Ihsan OBDAN’s oldest son, I. Arif Obdan has taken his place in the family business after graduating from Istanbul University School of Business and earning his Customs Brokering license, having already worked there part-time for quite some time.

80’s were the years in which the Turkish economy transformed to its current state. With this forthcoming change on the horizon, I. Arif Obdan invests in and expands the company.  He also gives partnership and managerial responsibilities to his brothers O. Akil Obdan and A. Arkin Obdan, hence makes it possible for them to be parts of the family business. In the year 2000 I. Arif Obdan merges his company with that of Ertugrul AGAOGLU, Sistem Logistics of 25 years,  whom he had known for many years and develops new growth strategies.  Seeing the new developments in Turkey as well as the world, they embark on the warehousing business and open up the Kartal Warehouse for logistical purposes. Going along with their growth prospects, they found their transportation company and start the distribution business in 2002. By 2006, having gone a long road in the structuring of the logistics business, with over 150 employees under the umbrella of 3 companies, Obdan Sistem has strengthened its position in the country’s economy and in the sector as a collection of companies that look to the future with confidence with its growth strategies and ambitions corporate aims.

Our company has been constantly active for the past 67 years, has paid great attention to its corporate structure as a result of its felt responsibilities. Most of our employees have started their professional lives with us and have shaped up under our corporate culture. The opportunities for our promising employees to be partners have become a driving force in our success as it created synergy within our companies as well as accelerated our progress as an ever-growing company. Human Resources, is a segment of our structure that we give great importance and it is guarantees our quality of service. In our most important investment, our people, we have 12 people who have spent more than 25 years in our companies and this continuity has become part of our corporate identity
